• major/minor keys and the ambiguity of the blue 3rd
• using 1st position licks in crossharp position, and crossharp licks in 1st position

Requirement for all Gary's courses: A decent diatonic C harmonica such as Hohner Special 20, Marine Band, Blues Harp, or equivalent harp by Lee Oscar, Suzuki, Hering, or Huang
