Tuesday Minor: Introduction to Travis Picking
Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Although not what many would call Blues, Merle Travis's style is deeply rooted in the Country Blues. This will be an introductory course on how to play basic "Travis" fingerstyle. We will look at classic Travis bass lines and learn how to place melodic notes throughout the bar to achieve some classic Travis and early Rockabilly sounds.
